1. Definition and Function:

Power adapter: An electronic device mainly used to convert the current and voltage of external power sources (such as socket power sources or batteries) into specific voltage and current specifications for use by the device. Switching power supplies generally have a larger input voltage range to meet more complex application requirements.

Power adapters can generally only provide fixed output voltage and current.

Switching power supplies can achieve rough adjustment of output voltage and current by adjusting the components in the controller circuit, with higher adjustability.

4. Safety performance:

Power adapters typically have multiple protection mechanisms, such as overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, overheating protection, etc., to ensure safety and stability.

Switching power supplies may experience oscillations or instability due to factors such as temperature and load.
